MEET THE BOARD MEMBERS

Leslie R. Smith is a business professional who values servant leadership through empowering, encouraging and educating others.  She is from Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate of Shades Valley High School.  After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Auburn University, Leslie worked in the IT industry focused of system administration, software development and implementation and project management.  She also owns In A Vizion Design specializing in business development, graphic/web design and event planning.  Leslie continued her graduate studies in the areas of Information Engineering and Management at University of Alabama in Birmingham and Biblical Studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Leslie is an ordained minister and has served in ministry as a Bible study teacher for almost 20 years, a church administrator and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. Leslie is passionate about teaching the Word of God especially her small group bible study class that just celebrated 11 years of spiritual group and fellowship.  

After several years serving in ministry, Leslie resumed her bi-vocational career managing the office of a Birmingham City Councilor.  Presently, she manages business operations for Women's Foundation of Alabama – a non-profit organization focused on philanthropy, research, advocacy for the economic mobility of women across our state.   

Leslie is amember Toastmasters International, Project Management Institute - Central Alabama Chapter, Society of Human Resources Managers, founding member of War Eagle Society and a lifetime member of Auburn Alumni Association.

Leslie enjoys cooking, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
