
Kennedi Fletcher
Counseling Intern
Kennedi is originally from Decatur, Alabama, and currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is currently a second year Master of Social Work student with a concentration in Community Mental Health at The Alabama A&M University.
Kennedi has a strong passion for serving others and advocating for individuals and communities. Her experience includes working with athletes and adults across several settings, including sports, orthopedics, and oncology. Kennedi values walking alongside clients, meeting them where they are, and offering support through a helping hand, a safe space, and words of encouragement.
Outside of her academic and professional work, Kennedi enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, journaling, and attending concerts. She is excited to learn from the team at Strive/Nurture and to apply the wisdom and knowledge gained during her internship experience.

Shala Glover

Shala Glover is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Alabama A&M University with a deep-rooted passion for maternal mental health and empowering today’s youth with the tools they need to thrive as tomorrow’s adults.
As a wife and mother, Shala’s work is grounded in both her lived experience and academic training. She is committed to creating positive, lasting transformation through evidence-based practices that support individuals, families, and communities.
She enjoys building meaningful initiatives from the ground up, exploring new ideas, and spending quality time with her family.
