MAY MAY STARKE

Counseling Intern

Mary Neill (MayMay) Starke is from Montgomery, Alabama and attended college at the University of Alabama where she graduated in 2021. After losing her mother to substance abuse in 2018, MayMay declared a minor in Addiction and Recovery, thus sparking her love and passion for helping others. MayMay is currently in her third year at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she is working towards her masters degree in clinical mental health counseling with a certificate in marriage, family, and couples therapy. An aspiring therapist, MayMay plans to work with adolescents, couples, families, and individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, substance use, relationship struggles, or other of the many stressful life transitions that may come our way. MayMay enjoys painting, writing, and playing her guitar, and incorporates creativity and mindfulness into her therapeutic approach. MayMay believes that individuals are capable of writing their own stories, making their own tune, and creating their own works of art, each beautiful and unique to who they are.
